Newbie.... Help needed to start in Audio world

Hello friends,

I am a new comer on this digital audio world. I would like to gain knowledge in audio compression.. but i dont know where/how to start.


Can some one tell me some hints.. i wan to start with AAC. Anyone specifying some tutorials, docs and books will be helpful. Also if someone point to some open source implementation it will be a lot helpful.

Try the FAQ, the Wiki and searching the forums. There is much to learn there. Also, reading up on the background of audio coding on Wikipedia will help you learn quickly.

And, as Garf pointed out, Google is your friend.
