Burning FLAC CD question

Hey all,

Since FLAC is approximately 1/3 smaller than WAV, does it follow that you can burn approximately 3 FLAC albums onto one CD that will play in, for instance, a car CD player?

Thanks!

Alec

Only if the player can read flac from a data CD.

That said, are there any standalone or car hardware players available yet that can read lossless files from a data DVD?

I am not aware of any CD/DVD player that can play FLAC files.

Yes, FLAC is 1/3 SMALLER, but it's NOT the one third of the original size (1 - 1/3 = 2/3 = 66%), so there's no way to burn 3 albums in FLAC format to one CD (unless the albums are very short)

I would suggest you get a CD player for your car that can play MP3s (if you haven't got one already), and burn ~7-10 albums onto one CD instead.
