[span style=\'font-size:14pt;line-height:100%\']IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT WMA VBR BITRATE[/span][/b]
I'm currently encoding different tracks, and it reminds me issues I've noticed during my summer listening tests. WMA bitrate is often wrong.
- foobar2000 0.8 component was never trustable. With VBR, results are amazingly distorted
- MrQuestionMan 0.71 (I downloaded the latest release from the server last hour) is much better, but sometimes wrong. I discovered something new: the estimated bitrate never goes below 88 kbps and never beyond 176 kbps (exactly the double: coïncidence?)

=> foobar2000 "copy command" can't be used (difference= +24 kbps!)
=> the average bitrate I computed (137,2) is a simple mean of the 150 values; MrQM compute the bitrate differently and it takes the length into consideration [I avoid this, it distorts the representativity of the gallery; see for more information about how the gallery was builded].
The bitrate corresponds to WMA 9.1 [Std] VBR 50 mode.
