ASUS Xonar DX S/PDIF Pass-through Device in Foobar2000

I'm having trouble using the "S/PDIF Pass-through Device (ASUS Xonar DX Audio Device)" as Output Device from Foobar2000. The music plays too fast, and with a higher pitch than it should. I think it's because the music is at 41 kbps, while the S/PDIF output expects it to be 48 kbps. Does that sound right? If so, is it possible to make Foobar2000 output at 48 kbps? I tried the "Resampler (PPHS)" DSP, but it didn't seem to do anything. Any help would be much appreciated.
