TAK will go down the same way. What is it with people not releasing their source code for an audio codec.

That's about as much nonsense as not releasing the source for an encryption codec. These things don't fly because the day this dude gets sick or thinks computers are bad you are stuck with a dead codec/encryption.  Even worse, if you cannot replicate the way encryption or encoding work you might just as well believe in the spaghetti monster... .
