Can't open audio files on MacOS X share

I'm having a real problem trying to open files with Foobar2000 that are located on a MacOS X Yosemite share. File sharing on Yosemite is properly set up with the correct permissions (Read & Write). All folders and files have the correct permissions as well. In Explorer on Windows I can view, copy and delete the files without issue, but cannot open them in Foobar2000. This is the error I receive:
Quote
Could not load info (File is already in use) from: Z:\path\to\file\filename.ext

VLC or any other player on my machine has no issues playing these files, only Foobar2000. I can copy the files locally and they work perfectly, but just can't do it remotely.

I'm currently using 1.3.9b1 but this problem existed in any previous version tried and with any Windows version-7, 8, 8.1, and now 10.
