CDR's for fussy DVD player?

I have a DVD player (Panasonic, can't remember the model, maybe A350) that doesn't seem to accept any CDR I try. The only brand I have that I haven't tried yet is Taiyo Yuden.

I've tried Princo which seems to work in most peoples DVD players without any luck.

Does anybody have a brand to suggest, or maybe some other tip like a particular burning speed or some kind of cdr-enabling hack for Panasonic DVD players?

An electrical engineer checked out the player and said it should have no problems playing good quality CDR media.

Cheers,
-dave

Look up the comments made by other people with the same model at http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers

You will need the model number, dude, it matters.  The search feature there is finicky, so just enter the brand and the numbers from the model.

Thanks, that site shed some light on the subject. e.g Use CDRW's for a higher chance of success.. or really cheap & nasty CDR's.. weird.

Strangely the same tactic as an exceptionnally poor Portable VCD player I owned a while back
