full duplex music through mobile GSM?

Hi all,

I'm trying to reproduce music from a PBX to a GSM mobile phone (kinda 'music on hold'), and I don't understand why when the speaker in the other party starts to speak, the music he hears starts to loose much quality, or even sometimes it becomes noise... ??
The same scenario, but to a conventional analog phone: in this case there are no problems...

Does it have anything to do with the GSM standard?? Is it possible to avoid this?

thanks in advance

sounds like CDMA's effect.
