Revo full duplex broken?

I can't perform an RMAA loop-back test at 24/96 with this card. According to RMAA (5.1) the driver does not support full duplex in that mode.

Any Revo owners here with similar problem?

Just recieved confirmation that the Revo is unable to record and play back at the same time in the high resolution modes. A bit weak for a 2003 card imo...

It's the first time I've read such, but I can't say it's not true since I've not tried myself. IIRC there are some online 24/96 RMAA loopback tests that say it's possible, but I could be wrong. I'll try to confirm this by myself as soon as I can.

Edit: 24/44.1 works flawlessly, I know that. What I didn't check yet was 24/96.

Yes I saw those RMAA scores too, however a fellow Revo owner (Chastity) also has the same behaviour. I tried reinstalling the driver but it didn't help. Hm....

Can the Audiophile drivers be used on the Revo?

I tried all this, and I found mixed results.

RMAA 4.3 (didn't try last version) reports half-duplex playback in 96 KHz mode, except if using 32-bit floating point format. Trying RMAA tests, it's true than only when recording and playing in 32-bit floating point the thing works. BUT what I found is that it works this way just because kmixer is kicking in, and is resampling things to 44.1 or 48 KHz. I noticed this because this way, RMAA measurements lack response from 22 KHz and up, and IMD results are pretty bad.

However, if playing at 96 KHz mode with foobar2000, even with directsound, and recording at 96 KHz with CEP 1.2a, results are OK. Response up to nearly 48 KHz, and little IMD.

So the problem seems to happen just with RMMA, so I guess it's a question of both bad driver and program combination.

Anyway, you can run proper RMAA tests using asynchronous mode testing, using foobar2000 as player and some other 24-bit audio editor as recorder.

Edit: I don't think you can use Delta drivers on the Revo, sorry.

Edit: tried RMAA 4.3, not 4.1
