Optimise MP4 layout?

I'm using latest 0.7.5 release and I have right click option "Optimise MP4 Layout" on M4A files -- what does it actually do?

I think you're suppose to do that when you change the things in an MP4 container.  Not sure if it really matters for audio, but there is something about it in one of doom9's guides.
