First time posting!

Alright, I've been using Foobar2000 on my PC for a while now. I absolutely love it! However, I also wanted to be able to use it to synch music from my Macbook Pro, seeing as how I seem to have more music on the mac than I do on my PC. The way I've been doing it has been pretty tedious... I'll take a few albums from my MacBook Pro, put them on a flash, and upload them to my PC so I can synch them with Foobar2000 to my ipod.

Well, the getting Foobar to work on a Mac was no problem. I simply installed it using Wine, and It opens using x11. The part I cant' seem to figure out is getting the ipod manager to work with Foobar running on a Mac blink.gif

For my PC I simply downloaded the ipod manager, and draged the it to the components folder of my foobar2000 directory. However, when I try to do the same process for my Mac, Foobar will open but the ipod manager is no where to be found...

Now, I've tried 'converting' the ipod manager file with Wine first before I drag it over to the components file in Foobar. That didn't work. Then I tried downloading both the Mac versions of 7zip and WinRar to open and export the ipod manager download to the Foobar components file. That also didn't work. At this point I'm pretty much stumped! sad.gif

I know other people have been using Foobar on Macs for a while now. Perhaps someone can lend me a hand in what I need to do?

Thank you! biggrin.gif

The only thing that will work is to run foobar2000 under Parallels, or another virtual machine, and pass the iPod USB device through to the virtual machine. Wine does not support direct USB device access.

Thanks! biggrin.gif Though, to be honesty I'm not sure if I want to start using a virtual machine sad.gif I have a number of friends who use some sort of windows emulator on their macs without any problems! But, to be honest I would just like if possible a program that I can run on my mac that will synch my music on its own.

I've tried Songbird. I couldn't figure out how to synch my music using it... Not to mention it just looked it contained more than I really needed.

And I've tried Clementine, which I hated.

Out of all of them, Foobar has pretty much the best for what I'm looking for smile.gif Just wish there was a way to run it without having to use a bunch of programs tongue.gif
