Come ooooon! Just do it! lol

This has got to be the most stubborn refusal to add a feature ever haha smile.gif

I love foobar to bits btw - nice work. Clean, powerful, flexible, fast, lightweight, love it!

However like.. the reason "close to tray" is good, is because usually you want the minimize button to send a program to the main task bar, and the X to kind of run it in the background, so you barely notice it (ie, the system tray / notification area).

I know it seems odd (the whole X means close thing) but you have to understand that a lot of people like this functionality. Why not just INCLUDE it and make people happy? It would only take you a second to code.

[] Always show notification area icon

[] Minimize to notification area

[] Close to notification area

[] Show balloon tooltip on song change

[] Use a custom icon from file [..................]

Come ooooon! You know you wanna do it!! smile.gif

Mike

PS Cheers again for such a wicked player smile.gif

Nope.

When I close it, I want it gone.

Isn't close to notification area useless since windows 7? I mean as a "real" foobar user I'm sure you have it pinned to the taskbar anyway. So what's the point? Just for a legacy OS is a bad basis for a feature request.

The buttons do just what they are supposed to do, and it's the developers' decision not to mess with that (even if the user would like to).
Have you tried the application "TrayIt!" (http://www.teamcti.com/trayit/trayit.htm)? It let's you minimize to tray or constantly move the icon to the tray.
