Player for Android?

I know there are apps for controlling your library like a remote, but is there actually a music player for Android yet?

Hello. I am using BubbleUPnp. This is a dlna and music player can read dlna server or local files and can render to a dlna rendrer or the mobile unit. He can Display the currently playing album art but can't modify the track properties. Serge.

I'm not sure I understand your question. There are dozens of music players for Android.

Personally, I use Poweramp. It is quite feature complete (e.g. it has gapless playback and replaygain support) and has a nice UI.

Also, conceptually, n7player looks quite nice, but I haven't tried it yet. It's on my todo-list to give this player a go.

But... since this is posted in the fb2k forum, this question must be related to foobar2000 somehow. I'm missing the link here...

Yeah sorry lol I meant the actual foobar player itself. Or if that doesn't exist yet, a free player that supports gapless playback and replaygain. I'm not sure if the free version of poweramp supports those features.

It supports these features and others like embedded cue-sheets in files. But it isn't free.

I would like an Adroid player similar in concepts with foobar2000 too. But that would mean a different project and programming from the ground up.
Right now I am using PowerAmp, the payed version and the only thing that I'm missing is the usage of TAGZ (configure them as I see fit).
Have a nice day!

I use the FLAC friendly andLess though the default player in Cyanogen7 (Gingerbread) supports Flac anyway.

I'm using ArkMC. It's DLNA certified controller, renderer, server, player. Also it's able to playback and stream media from YouTube. I tested several apps for Android, and stopped on Arkmc.

Kind of an unhelpful answer unless you use foo_dumb exclusively, but Xmp is what I'm rocking out to these days.

I use Shuttle Music Player. It has a clear, minimalist interface. It only lacks support for the ALBUM ARTIST tag at the moment.

I can only recommend GoneMAD Music Player:

It supports ReplayGain, using Album Artist tags, true gapless playback for MP3, both Library-based and Folder-based browsing, clean & simple interface, lots of options to customize to your liking, and more importantly, it has a users forum where dev actually participates and takes note of the users feedback (unlike PowerAmp whose dev seems to completely ignore most requests, even simpler ones like grouping by Album Artist instead of Artist...)

Its not free but definitely worth the price in my opinion.

Also I just found a new player, PlayLine, that is just starting, but seems to be based on the "Everything is a playlist" philosophy, it lacks many features yet but it seems like an interesting thing to follow for those that use foobar2000.
