Hello Gregory,

Your tips about removing the Dummy CUE file have worked, and CUETools successfully zapped all those nasty 4608 samples of silence where applicable.

The only problem that has resulted, is that all my track number tags have disappeared! All of the rest of the tag info remained. Could this be related to the dummy CUE files I deleted?

Losing 2000 albums worth of track tag info is very frustrating. I do have a back-up from last month, but of course it would have to be run through CUETools as the back up still has the 4608 samples problem.

I use MP3tag for tagging. I think there is some kind of script that will allow for taking the first two characters of my track names and convert them into tagged track numbers.

Wierd. They shouldn't have. Just tested it, and foobar2000 sees the track numbers in converted files normally, using TRACKNUMBER tag. Maybe you use a different tag?

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened. I use the "Track" tag in MP3tag, I don't see any other fields to store a tag in. The stuff that CUETools could not process, like my MP3s with ID3V2.3 tags and 24/96 FLACs kept their tags intact.

All other tag info is fine. I wonder if I selected something incorrectly in CUETools?

Well, you could have accidentally unchecked 'Write basic tags from CUE data' in Advanced Settings->Tagging...

Bug-fix release 2.0.8 changelog

Hi, Gregory.

Can't make this version work. Every time I try to verify (in normal mode) CUEtools 2.0.8 gives me a message
"Exception: Unable to find an entry point named 'hdcd_decoder_process_buffer_interleaved' in DLL 'hdcd.dll'."
I have this message on general ape and flac files (they are images of general CDs, not HDCD).

Version 2.0.4a works as expected.

Oops. Try removing plugins\CUETools.Codecs.HDCD.dll. I think i put it there by mistake.

Possible, but difficult.

Open <user folder>\AppData\Roaming\CUERipper\settings.txt

Find the following line:

TrackFilenameFormat=%tracknumber%. %title%

and change it to

TrackFilenameFormat=%tracknumber% - %title%

Should we move that file to some other directory, or just delete it? Or, will you soon issue a revised version without the error?

I already updated the archive, but there's no need to download it again. Just delete this file.

Is http://www.cuetools.net/doku.php/cuetools:download now the place wheere all updates will appear?

Thanks for all you do!

Hello:

I downloaded 2.0.8. For an album that was converted to Apple Lossless m4a files, I put the .cue sheet into CueTools and ran verify. I received that error again: Decoding failed.

It's the same as with 2.0.4. Verify works when used on some Apple Lossless m4a files, but reports that error on others. All were converted, from FLAC or WAV or APE, to Apple Lossless using either CueTools or dBpoweramp.

Then it's a different bug. I need an example of such file. Do such files play correctly in foobar2000?

I don't know. I do not have foobar2000 installed. I play Apple Lossless files in iTunes 9.1.0.79.

What do I need to do to help you identify this bug? Some Apple Lossless files verify no problem in CueTools, but some deliver that error. All the files play no problem in iTunes, and all were converted to Apple Lossless using either either CueTools or dBpoweramp.

It would be great if you could upload one of such files somewhere and email me a link (gchudov at gmail dot com). If one of those tracks which produce an error is less than 15mb, you could just send it to me.

I just tried CUERipper v2.0.8.

It still does not have an option for naming the individual track artists if the CD happens to be a various artists CD.
