Oh dear, no !

It was difficult to bypass WMP plug-in limitation, i can not imagine doing the same thing for WMP6.4 since it has NO support of tags except for Video ASF/WMV/AVI files.

and what about WMP9?

On the Website (http://wmptagext.sourceforge.net/help.html) it says "WMP Tag Support Extender needs Windows Media Player 9 or later." Didn't work for me on 11beta.

Any chance of WMP 11 support now that it is out today? Would be nice for my FLAC files...

Hum....

if you read the dedicated thread, i've released instruction to allow WMPTSE to work under WMP9 (it's just question of registering the plug-in...i've tricked the 1.0 files to do it. just download http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wmptage...0.msi?download)

I am not a registered beta tester of Windows Vista, and as such, i'm not allowed to test it and i am no more working under windows XP (that's my choice) so i'm not able to install WMP11.
Plus, there's no documentation on WMP11 plug-in API. That's why I can't predict the effect of my code in a WMP11 environnement.

You can try the WMP9 trick described here :

I think lots of users will be interested to know if WMP11 allows WMPTSE to work or no...
(i, for myself, won't buy Vista if it don't)

MaB_fr,

WMP 11 beta is available for Windows XP "now" -- at least in North America.  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...11/default.aspx

I think WMPTSE 1.0 works at least partially with WMP 11, but I haven't had the change to test more... (not sure if it's only working because I did an upgrade, so there was already data there.)
