One of a few biggrin.gif

Try "Slow and Low" from an eighties-pressing of Beastie Boys' "License to Ill." (If you have it. Otherwise I can upload a sample.) They were kind of aping Run DMC at the time haha. ...but maybe it's just that style of music that actually was EQed right for CD? IDK. All the Ozzy CDs from the eighties are easily beaten by the vinyl editions in the bass/EQ department IMO.

Edit: for some reason I was thinking this was a new topic and not just a sample for another thread. Sorry about my interjections smile.gif I really need to go to sleep I suppose...

Spectral analysis shows sharp cutoff below 50 Hz.

Thanks Arnie. I didn't bother looking at the spectrum when I listened to it last week. At the time I said to myself, this? Huh. Unfortunately now I have to find something from the '80s that does better. Peter Hurford Romantic Organ Music on the Rieger organ in the Ratzeburg Cathedral on London records. Bought in '85, it has bass down to 17 Hz. At the time I said it was the best organ recording I ever heard. It's still near the top of the list in my opinion.
