Our collection of Muvo TX players is getting old and too small, so I am looking at some replacement devices. I like the Muvo TX format, its a thumbdrive that needs no cord or software, plug in and play or drag files. Slip on a little jacket with a AAA and its a portable that works fine with headsets or line out.

Internal storage not critical, but two cars have USB input with 2GB limits.
Must have micro SD slot at least 16GB supported.
Good with Sennheiser MX or CX buds.
Good quality, not easily broken.
Prefer no cord direct plug in USB for power and drag and drop drive behavior.

Does Sansa clip+ rule this niche or is something better in same range?

Clip+ is looking most likely, no cord is preferred, but not a deal killer. I just didn't want to buy two or three of the Clips and find something I liked better later.
