Sony RCD-W500 on the fly AD-DA Meyer Moran Loop?

At my local used shop there's a Sony stand alone, consumer [must use "For music" blanks and has SCMS, but I don't care] CD recorder RCD-W500C. I can't find detailed reviews, RMAA scores, or details beyond the cookie cutter, simplistic owner's manual.

It stands above the rest, in theory, because in has SBM, "Super bit mapping", Sony's name for noise shaping, optionally applied to the analog inputs in 24 bit reolution before then going to 16bit for the burn process. One anecdotal report I saw, from a guy who owns many CD recorders, says this works better than any other he's owned for analog in recordings because of SBM. Might anyone know:

- Can I monitor the live incoming analog signal similarly to how Meyer and Moran used a CD recorded in "monitor record" mode for on-the-fly AD-DA purposes? The ads say this unit has 4 DACs, should that help. From my read of their pro level CDR-66W manual, THAT one can, but the RCD-500WC doesn't say either way.

- What kind of latency, in milliseconds, can I expect when using it in this way?

- Will I be forced to have a disc inside? Spinning? [i.e. making some noise which isn't ideal for sound testing]

Thanks.

The pro level recorder with correct model number, CDR-W66, on page 12 under "Monitoring Sound Inputs" leads me to believe you can listen to an on-the-fly, real time AD-DA, but no such mention in the consumer RCD-W500C may just be because they don't think consumers would care:
