APL -> diskwriter

I am making copies of my tapes WAV and pack with APE and make a cue sheet and MakeAPL. I was sure if I wanted to extract a song all I would need to do was play the APL in WinAmp with the diskwriter on. Incredibly, this doesn't work at all. The first time I got a partial file, after that a 0-byte file.

If I can play it thru WinAmp then shouldn't I be able to write it to disk as well. Any comments?

out_wave.dll no comprende

I guess that's not the problem, since you got at least a partial file ... but i think out_disk.dll is the one for writing *.wav's
That's how it is for Winamp2 or are you talking about Winamp3?

No WA3 here. I tried with standard 2.81 diskwriter and the 2.1 test beta but haven't gotten a WAV over zero bytes yet.

edit: ??

Ok, there was success but not sure what could have contributed to it. Strange thing is how the time display would not advance unless WinAmp was the focused task. So it does appear to work as predicted.

Another APE related issue using oggenc2: the lossless codecs specified to be used with oggenc2 proved to not be backward compatible. Klemm's 3.96 beta6 works fine with oggenc2 and older APE types.

My fault!!  I made the obviously incorrect assumption that backwards compatibility was an outdated requirement! It's a compile time option. I'll fix it and re-upload.

New compile uploaded to Mirror 1. I don't have any old Monkey's files, so maybe someone could kindly let me know whether it is now OK?
