How one can check if source audio CD is original?

I've got a couple of CDs converted to WMA lossless (yep, I'm lazy) but I'm afraid those CDs were on their part originated from compressed audio like MP3. How can I be sure the tracks which I'm now storing are worth keeping them in the lossless audio form?
