Spectrogram stops when pausing a song

When I'm listening to a song the spectrogram works fine. Then I press play/pause to stop it for some seconds, the again for resuming playback. From that moment on the spectrogram doesn't work unless I seek back or ahead some seconds. It's not a big issue, but I would like to know if there's any way to keep the spectrogram always running while I'm playing a song, even if I stopped for some seconds.

What output method are you using? The default DirectSound? ASIO? WASAPI? If WASAPI, is it one of the new beta versions?
