Windows Explorer doesn't display FLAC tags

Hi,

I tried to add the track number as described in this forum with the option in foobar "Automaticly Fill Values" this option then shows me the #, File name and Track file,
but when I press OK and Apply button the windows explorer doesn't show the update ( only the file name appears, no track number or Track title).

Does anybody know how to rip CD's in FLAC format with the correct META file saved in windows 7?

Thanks,

Michiel

This is not site related discussion! There's a foobar2000 sub-forum on here. I'm sure a mod will come along and move it.

I disagree, this is a windows issue and is not a Foobar issue; never the less I will try to move it to the Foobar forum but so far I could not figure out how to do this.

Ps. I found the solution for windows 7 and 8 to display Flac meta data at: http://blog.dabasinskas.net/enable-flac-su...t-on-windows-8/

Thanks,

Michiel.

Windows can't read FLAC tags.  See this thread for solutions:

Thanks,

Your information send me in the right direction; I found the solution at: http://blog.dabasinskas.net/enable-flac-sup

After installing the "Windows & FLAC Property Handler" (mentioned in the chapter "Support in File Explorer" X64 installer)
my windows 7 and 8 computer are showing the Meta data in the explorer files when I use the: "Properties\Tools\Automatically fill values" option in Foobar.

This has solved my issue with Windows Explorer.

Thanks,

Michiel.

Hey, thanks! This worked for me. I can now play FLAC files in Windows Explorer!
