How to stop foobar from reacting to multimedia keys.

Hello!
I want to leave these to other software which don't support assigning custom global hotkeys.
For example it's super annoying that both spotify and foobar reacts to it.
Setting them as a global hotkey without defining an action doesn't work because then foobar steals them from spotify too.
So, the way things are either both programs react to it or neither do... Which sucks.

How can I get foobar to ignore multimedia keys?

if you have 2 apps which can utilise media keys, the one that has focus should take the key presses. this is certainly the case on my setup when i have WMP and foobar2000 open at the same time (i don't have spotify). in my experience, there is nothing wrong with the way foobar behaves. it uses the media keys when it has focus and gives it up when something else does.

i've not even touched any keyboard settings in any apps. i just have play/pause/stop/next/previous buttons on my keyboard.

Media keys are utterly pointless if I have to bring the apps into focus. And when neither's in focus both reacts to the media keys.
I'm not interested that "there's nothing wrong" with it, I can't make much use of the keys this way. I want to disable foobars reactions to MM keys, I have my own hotkeys for foobar.

i don't see why the focused app shouldn't take priority? it makes perfect sense to me. also, i don't see you complaining about spotify reacting when neither have focus.  perhaps you could consider closing one of the music players while you're using another?

nothing can be done at the moment so obviously it's up to Peter as to whether he considers your request in a future version. i'll just leave you to it.
