I don't know where scripting question should go, I'll post it here.
Is there a way to know if current font is unicode or not ?

is there a way to associate a font to a formatting strings sets ?
(unicode fonts are not fixed pitch, so they can't be used with complex formatting strings).

All TrueType and OpenType fonts are mapped in Unicode. Whether they support the characters you want, that is a different matter entirely. As far as I know, the most complete font is Arial Unicode MS. Now, if only there were a Tahoma Unicode...
