Are you kidding? We're not even a third of the way there. This fundraiser isn't happening.

Huh? I didn't claim that we would reach the main goal in this last week.

I just brought back to everybody's attention a project that is worth to be supported.

You can still support the project via our page directly - mobile.foobar2000.com. In case the lowest goal isn't met, we'll still try to deliver a product that satisfies all of those who did support us; just with fewer features than we were originally hoping to.

You guys keep the money raised at the end right?

Actually, the average development costs are said to be ? $25,000 for an iOS app and ? $17,000 for an Android app = $42,000. The foobar2000 mobile project has got ? $30,000 so far. This means a financial loss of $12,000 for the programmers.

Of course real costs may differ from average ones, but they may also be above and the development costs for the Windows Phone app are not even taken into account in this example.

So, here again:

A shocking set of photos showing Peter, kode54 and spoon - and how they are rolling in money, made on this fundraiser.

Sorry, I was wrong, these photos must show some other cats. Because:
  • Software development costs money.
  • Money received != profit.
  • Cash in bank != profit.
  • I wouldn't expect any profit at all, if a fundraiser got $30K, but its main goal is $100000 and the product what the money is raised for is nevertheless tried to be delivered.
Everyone, who clicked on the photos URL, clicks on this one as well, please. And perhaps you will pledge too? 4 days left.

That was cute and as I stated before I'd love to pledge, but I don't have a credit card and my beautiful country's economic policies aren't letting me use my debit card with PayPal.

Have you heard?

Facebook tampered with the news feeds of hundreds of thousands of their members: a furtive, secret action, for a psychological study.

So at will facebook reduce its members to the level of guinea pigs and affront the dignity of its members. facebook let you become the object of an experiment, without telling you.

You still think it's okay to lump every social network together? Or do you think this would never happen on a foobar2000 mobile social network?

In case of the latter:

GO.
