Presonus Firebox or E-MU 0404 USB ?, Good Performance/Price DAC

Which one has better sound quality w/ HD595/650 and work with vista and cubase ?

1. Presonus Firebox
2. E-MU 0404 USB
3. Other ???

The Firebox ships with Cubase LE. I like mine. I can't comment about the E-MU 0404 USB, having never owned one or used one.

are you looking for a recording interface or just a box for playback purposes?

if you want real good vista32/64 drivers you might also have a look at the RME Fireface400.

watch out for mackie devices. their drivers are pure pain.

Echo AudioFire 2

I own one of these, and the drivers are top notch. Works perfectly in Vista x64.

What's the difference between Echo AudioFire v2 and v4 ?
Does Echo have better sound quality than Firebox ?

If you had bothered to click the link I posted, you'd know the only difference between the AudiFire models, is the number of input/output ports..
