Mareo issues

I'm using Mareo to encode to FLAC and MP3 while ripping with EAC.  It seems that Mareo can only have 1 instance of itself running at any one time (it crashes whenever another Mareo tries to start up from EAC).  Is this true?  In the past I'd have 2 drives and 4 LAME encoders running at the same time to speed up the process.  Am I stuck with 1 drive / 1 Mareo instance?
