An issue with arranging playlist tabs

I used Winamp for years as my main music player. I just switched over to foobar and quite prefer. it The only one issue I have so far is with playlist management.

I love the tabs. I have several set up right now, but the issue I keep running into is one of absent-mindlessness. Basically, I'll add a new song or album via the windows context menu, forgetting what tab I have open, and I'll erase everything that's in the playlist.

In Winamp you have a main playlist window. Then you create playlists, that are stored on the left-side of the console. So the playlists will never be altered by loading an album via the windows context menu, they just won't be in the main playlist window anymore. You have to send songs to the playlist by using right-click.

Would there be a way to force foobar to just have one tab, that I can load playlists into, and then have the playlists either hidden or sectioned off elsewhere in the console?

Or could I possibly keep everything the way it is, but find a plug-in for windows that would add a "add to [insert name] playlist" submenu?

I know I can save playlists and load them back into a window, and I do that when I remember. But I'm absent-minded, like I said.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to File > Preferences > Shell Integration.

Tick the box for Always send new files to playlist and specify the playlist you want to use. This will prevent your other playlists from being overwritten.

Also tick Set "Enqueue" as the default action if you want the ability to add multiple files/folders.

EDIT:

Forgot to say that if you accidentally overwrite a playlist, there's always Edit > Undo.

Thanks! This should be enough to keep me organized.
