Enabling Equalizer = Very high CPU usage

Hello

I've just been testing Foobar2000 0.667, and i love it!

I've been using WinAmp 2.91 lately, with Shibatch's Super Equalizer 0.3 - and i have 0-2% CPU usage with this.
Foobar2000's Equalizer seems to eat CPU cycles like crazy though, 5-10% usage - why is this?

My system is a Athlon XP2000+, 512MB DDR, VIA KT266A, etc.. so i think its kinda weird that the EQ eats *that* much cycles, when Super Equalizer isnt using noticeably more than WinAmp's built-in (crappy) equalizer.

Probably because foobar uses 64-bit floating-point samples internally.  I suspect Winamp generally uses 16-bit samples.
