Just ripped a CD with the above and blam, when it was done my computer beeped and shutdown.  Never happened to me before.  I looked at some settings and saw shutdown when finished (or sonething like that) was selected).  The other choice was reboot when finished.  I've seen help documents where those choices are greyed out - how do I do that?  Also, when the reboot option was chosen, it worked normally, i.e. it didn't reboot.

I've done this numerous time!   

The ripping dialogue has a checkbox to select whether you want to shut down after.  I have accidentally checked that many times while clicking willy-nilly.

Rip another CD and uncheck the checkbox on the ripping dialogue.

There may be another way to turn it off but I don't know it.
