Problems with .stm files

Hi.

To explain the problem I installed two components that support the .stm file extension:
foo_dumb(plays sequenced music formats)
vgmstream(plays videogame music files)

And when I try to open the .stm file, this error appears:
Unable to open item for playback (Unsupported format or corrupted file):
"F:\Dolphin-x64\Games\pmttyd_music\sound\stream\btl_3dh1_32k.stm"

Worse, the file won't determine the length of the music and it won't play as a result. Any solution for this?

The file extension .stm is Scream Tracker 2 (and possibly 1) file format and it's handled by foo_dumb. Obviously the file you are trying to play is not in that format since it's been used for standalone music and PC demos.

The vgmstream component is for videogame music decoding and it doesn't support .stm files. It's possible it could handle your files but it would need their extensions changed to something it supports. Closest I saw was .stma but I have no idea what format that is or what you are even trying to play.

Try .brstm?

Wait, do you mean renaming the .stm file extension to .brstm? I'll try if that's the case.
EDIT: Guess the method I mentioned didn't work. I'll use the Wii .brstm format and see what happens.

If not then I'll use Winamp as the last resort.

Sorry for the double post(my previous post did not allow for a edit function) but I found a way for the solution:
I renamed the .stm files into .dsp files. Now it works, but isn't looping for some reason.

They'll loop depending on how you configure it in Preferences. Default is two loops and a fade.

Thanks for the info, I did notice that.
Next I'll be testing the .brstm files.

EDIT: I tested them... and they play too fast.
EDIT2: As it turns out, all of the .brstm files suffer for speed-up playback. You have to modify their file extension to .brstmspm in order to get normal playback.

Yes, we are talking about two Paper Mario games here. The mystery about these files are solved, except for the loop of course... but nothing wrong for now.
