sorry if this has been discussed already i didnt find it

i wondered about how the quality of cbr vorbis is compared to normal vbr? any tests done regarding that already?
is cbr clearly worse than vbr?

CBR is clearly not better with Vorbis.
Make your conclusions.

CBR in Vorbis should only be used for streaming.  No tests have been done on this, but it is a waste to limit set of packets to within a certain size (unless you simply can't afford the bandwidth). Vorbis is inherintly 100% tride and true VBR.

The reason to this maybe cbr is easy to mux with video stream right?
