Damn that sucks.

possible only if all the panels were WSH Panel Mod  but not only selection and highlight colors are to change, because what happen if the main album color is similar to the other panel background ? you won't se anymore the selection or highlight...

True, but you could just make it use hue with full saturation. If you have a dark background like mine it would work.

Hey there! I like the looks of this UI: http://customize.org/foobar/skins/65153. But am new to this foobar "skinning". Can you guys/girls please advise whether or not downloading that skin is safe or perhaps not. Because I haven't got the slightest clue what is mainstream to fb2k skinning and what is considered balancing on edge. I do understand foo is customizable because of it's core modular setup. But he only piece of software I can write and understand is a DOS batch-file.

(oh and english not my native, sorry for sounding stupid - I do try my best)

Not a very fancy design, but well suited for my needs. I just love the flexibility of foobar2000! In the toolbar i have buttons for Open CD (rarely used, i rip with Cueripper), Convert to m4a (qaac), replaygain buttons, buttons for syncing my Sony walkman, and a button for fb2k preferences.

How can the buttons be edited/added?

Right click on the toolbar (buttons), Customize Buttons...
Choose from Available Commands on the right, and Add. Choose layout and icons on the left.

I think you want prefs>DUI>Colors + Fonts>Top text color item

you can add your own buttons (right click>customise buttons). then use the change icon button to browse for your own .ico files. IIRC, they must contain a 16x16 image.

Oh wow, you're right, I use it so plain that I completely forgot you can do that  Thanks.

Hotsoup, can you share this one http://www.hydrogenaud.io/forums/index.php...st&p=873324 ?

Also, how did you put these icons there?

Hi eahm, I think this is the last export of that theme: https://googledrive.com/host/0B0v92OYo7i-6Y...E/new_home5.fth

I recently made a playlist view that is tailored for classical music tags but that would be the only thing missing..

Like marc2003 said, all my custom icons range from 16px to 32px. I found them mainly through softicons and iconfinder.

Besides the very top buttons, the rest are "bottom-docked" which you have to checkmark in layout editing mode. HTH

Hotsoup, thanks, got most of it done, can you please list your components?

I don't even know if I can switch from my setup but I want to try to make it fully working and see how it works for few days before I can keep it. All I can say is that your setup is the best I've seen in a while.

Also, I have a ton of classical (like 400GB) and I am copying your renaming (Last name, First name (Nationality) (Year)).

I saw your screenshots eahm, lookin' good! I like how your default theme features the lyrics. I'm inspired now to find a way to squeeze that in..

Yes for the Lyrics but I like it even more how it's setup with your theme modified, in a different tab so I check it only when I care to

my final layout

Left side library, center for playlists, right for now playing.

I would like to neaten the now playing metadata display with Artist, Title, Album only, but I don't know how so that'll suffice.

...ohh, the icons maybe?

Once the layout editing "clicks" it's surprisingly flexible and fun to goof around with. At first it was only a variation of the quick setup album list + properties (tabbed), which was my standard for a long time. Then I totally fell down the rabbit hole....

It's still work in progress, I still have to fix couple of issues here and there, but I'll put it up somewhere for download once I'm happy with it
