hi, how can I protect my playlist containing my music library from accidental deletion? I've tried foo_utils but haven't been able to find that option.

You can use foo_utils
then in the main menu Edit > Read Only
prevents from editing a and/or remove accidentaly a playlist.

it's greyed out (can't be selected)

I forgot to say it is an autoplaylist, normal playlists can be locked but autoplaylists not

Accidentally removed playlists can be restored from the playlist manager or tabs context menu, so there is really no need for a lock feature.
