Rolling stones Bigger Bang CD clipping ?

Just bough "A Bigger Bang" and I like this raw Rock'n Roll music. That's good.

What is less good is the fact that it's an anti-copy disk (cactus data shield, I think). I ripped it with EAC and my Plextor but I don't know if the result is right because I hear distortion (overload). It's like if they recorded the music too loud.

Did they mastered the CD like that just to have it sound loud ?

Search for "loudness race".

I never noticed any copy-protection on mine.  It imported fine into iTunes 5.0.
