Test & Copy for images.

I guess I'm going to have to give that a try.

Thanks for the info.

Nope, there is a distinct difference: ripping an image is a specific case of copying ranges. tongue.gif

Installed the new EAC and I am testing the T&C for images.

Ripping now a cd and it will take well over 40 minutes!!! blink.gif blink.gif Read speed is just (while re-reading) 1.2X blink.gif

I use Secure Mode and a cd is ripped normally in 7 - 8 minutes. Why does it take so long to "check" the Image?? Am I losing something in the way?

EDIT

You know what really irritates me here? This:

CODE
Track 1 accurately ripped (confidence 1) [945F87DF]

While the rip obviously went wrong, correct data was actually extracted at some point... wasn't it? Or did you manage to change your computer ID for AR somehow?

How do you know that the actual rip went wrong?

Seems like there was a problem with the encoding, not the rip.

...though it looks like there was only a test CRC that was generated. Was that the enitre log?

btw, the "-v" in your command line does absolutely nothing(!) (unless it's causing an error).

Why not test one thing at a time instead of blowing your wad all at once? Try T&C of the image as a wave file.

Yes! That's odd. blink.gif The Copy CRC is missing.

It is possible to save and see the log of a test without actually doing a rip to the disk, but only for Track based tests ("Test Selected Tracks" F8). How did you manage to do "Test Image"? Maybe there is something wrong with the encoder settings and it will make EAC skip the copy part?

1.- Yes, it was the entire log.

2.- Thanks for the tip about the -v commnad. I had never been sure it should be there or not wink.gif

This time I did not use the "Test and copy" but just "Copy the Image":

Nice,

Besides the fact FLAC codec is now packed together with the new release, EAC will now store their log file into the extracting directory. Speaking of changes, the selective bitrate range now goes from 32 to 1024kBit/s in 'User Defined Encoder' parameter.

Slight changes but, Wow. Great job. smile.gif

SERIOUS BUG FOUND!

When you tick "Eject CD after extraction", and performs a T/C image, it will eject the CD after the test is done, and proceed ripping as if the disc were present.
