Boot Foobar from dvd

Hi,

I like the Foobar2000 player but it's not installed on the pc's at my school,
so I like to make a dvd with my music and Foobar2000 so I can run it from the dvd.
Does someone know how to create this? or is there a program what can make programs bootable from cd/dvd?

You don't need to do anything special. Install to your HD in single user mode and just copy the foobar dir to a dvd with your music...
Of course using the library is difficult since the drive letter is probably not the same at your school. So you cannot expect it to find the files on the dvd thru the library without a rescan.

So the program doesn't need .dll files installed in the windows directories anyway?

No it doesn't... Some obscure plugin might but I don't know any like that.

About the runtime libraries, I think they can be placed in foobar folder and still work.

if you want to have foobar2000 in a very light fashion, then i recommend for you to keep only 2 plugins. foo_ui_std and foo_input_std. they should be the only plugins that you need(unless you use, APE, ALAC, or something else)

What you mean ? BOOTABLE means _without_ starting the OS ! In this case i don't think you can do this (or, well... try with ReactOS).

If you mean PORTABLE, instead, check out this 3ad.
