It's a little-known feature of last.fm that you can export the entirety of the data that they have collected from here:

http://www.last.fm/settings/dataexporter

This also includes information that's not easy to reach in any other way (by which I mean it can't be reached through API), like first played and last played dates. I had previously imported this data thru a WSH Panel Mod script made specially for that purpose by marc2003, but I have since lost that data (again... sigh... computers...), so I'd like to do it again. That script is no longer available (and even if it was I'd feel kinda iffy about using it because marc stopped supplying/supporting his scripts and I respect that decision), so I'm making a new thread for this.

I know it's a long shot, but if anyone wants to try to make a script that imports that data either into the playcount database or into customdb or anything else, I'd be very grateful!

i wouldn't mind people sharing this script as it only works on local files and doesn't use the internet. if no one else has a copy, i could knock it up again if you upload a sample JSON file.

I have fist/last played data since i started using play count but this would be very nice
Did you mean JSON files in \json\scrobbles folder?

Thank you marc2003! I always took advantage of your hard work, so I hope you know that I'm very grateful for everything you've done for foobar in these years!

Let me know if you need me to upload anything. I'll also upload the first file from the JSON\scrobbles folder: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/116911/...es-2005-02.json
