How do I correctly stream ogg files?

Hi folks!

I'm definately no computer wiz, so I'd really like to get some help setting up my website for streaming ogg files correctly. I know nothing about MIME types and the like, so a any help would be most appreciated. Right now, you'll need to paste the address into the URL window in Winamp, or drag the link to the program to stream. How can I set it up to stream instantly? The website in question can be found at http://eggstone.pfwh.net/media.htm

Thanks!

create a playlist file with the stream url in it, then when someone clicks the link, they can select to open it in their player of choice

a PLS playlist example:
Code: [Select]
[playlist]
File1=http://radio.bla:8000/stream.ogg
Title1=my ogg station!!!
Length1=-1
NumberOfEntries=1
Version=2
or,
streaming servers like shoutcast and icecast can generate the playlist for you, and you just have to link to it (kind of a virtual playlist, it gets created when it gets requested), refer to the server documentation for how to do that (i dont know off the top of my head)
