problem editing a multichannel/multitrack audio file

This is one of those cases where  I *thought* the solution would be straightforward but it's proving anything but.

I have a 6-channel .wav file, and I want to apply a 'power loss'  (like a turntable slowing down to a stop, after the plug is pulled) pitch and time bend effect to the end of it.  Audition, very conveniently, has such an effect in its arsenal.  Audition also has a nice interface for loading and viewing multitracks.  Audition 3.0 is also free!

However, the power loss effect/pitch bend is not available in multitrack view (relatively few effects are).  Instead it seems I'd have to apply it to each track individually, then create a new multichannel file from the edited tracks.

That there is not an easier way to do this -- like, just applying the effect once to the whole file, then saving it -- this boggles my mind.


But maybe there *is* an easier way?  I looked into Audacity but couldn't tell quickly whether it allows 'group' editing like this, or whether such an effect is available.

Maybe you guys know of some easy way to do it with either these apps or some other?  (As long as it doesn't involve purchasing ProTools)

yes in Nuendo you can just apply to the multichannel master bus you should be able to do it in reaper and most dawsons reaper is free to try and probably the  best  for  multichannel  stuff
