How can I view the Playback Queue?

Is there a way to view the playback queue?

I right click a song->Add to playback Queue and it plays them right but i cant work out how to view it!

Also is there someway to bind keys with shift combos? Like double click is play song, i want Shift+double click to add it to playback Queue

Either use foo_cwb_hooks and its corresponding fields or use foo_uie_queuemanager and add its panel into your Columns UI layout or your Panel UI config.

What method did you end up using?

I'm still trying to figure this out.

I don't get why something so seemily basic in other software is so difficult in this software.  They might as well make viewing your library as difficult. It makes just about as much sense.

My workaround has been pasting the tracks I want in to my default playlist, which seems rather absurd.

So did you even bother to try the solution posted above, foo_pqview? Use it, and assign the queue to be displayed in a particular playlist.

Foobar is based around playlists, and if you look through the developers' posts on this forum, they mention time and again that the playback queue isn't meant to be a "basic" feature as the media library or as a replacement for the playlists.

I wonder why nobody mentioned this basic way: In default UI the queued songs are numbered in the "Playing"-Column (the one that shows the Play icon at the currently playing song).

And as Zarkon said: If you want to view a list of tracks, use a playlist.

Because this thread was created before this that feature was added (0.9.5.3).

Yes and for some odd reason despite my copying the dll file to the proper place, it wasn't working. But then I went back and looked again and it wasn't there.  It's been one of those days...

IIt is now.

The media library works fine till you start browsing your library while tracks are playing back. Then you lose your view.

This is the only flaw in this otherwise awesome software (I only discovered it a month ago. I'm still getting the hang of it).

The geek in me loves it.

Oooops... that *might* be a reason!
(And that although I already searched thoroughly for a "I use Columns UI" to not give a not applicable advice.)

What library viewer are you using?
If albumlist or library search:
have you tried changing the Library viewer Playlist settings? File->preferences->library->bottom of the window...

This option was added in 0.9.5.3 do to user demand.

There's nothing inherently geeky about foobar...

..i think... ;)

Hi, for some reason when I stop or pause the playback then the current playback queue is cleared even though 'flush playback queue' is unselected and 'keep queue'. Why is that? I wish there was something like 'now playing' playlist which would make it easy for me to have a look at the songs which are in queue ahead. I am using album list+properties (tabbed) layout

I am using http://foosion.foobar2000.org/components/?...amp;version=0.2 as suggested here but it is not a very elegant approach IMO as it does not let me look at the queue like a playlist (it is like work every time I want to look at the queue lol)
