AudioShell Beta Release
| Posted By:

@ Oct 27 2014, 20:53 |
AudioShell is a new PowerShell-driven interface for converting, tagging and analyzing audio / music files.
edit: Renamed to PowerShell Audio. There is already an AudioShell out there. Oops!
Features:
- A unified interface to popular codecs (Currently Lame MP3, Ogg Vorbis, Apple AAC, FLAC, Apple Lossless, and Wave).
- Fast and highly concurrent ("multi-threaded") for modern, multi-core systems.
- ReplayGain integration. Batch-analyze thousands of files quickly, then save the results to disk, convert to Apple SoundCheck format, or apply the changes directly during encoding.
- Metadata preservation between formats.
- PowerShell interface brings powerful integration and scripting capa ...

lossyWAV 1.4.0 Released

lossyWAV 1.4.0 Released
| Posted By:

@ Oct 2 2014, 15:43 |
lossyWAV 1.4.0 is released.
lossyWAV is a near lossless audio processor which dynamically reduces the bitdepth of the signal on a block-by-block basis. Bitdepth reduction adds noise to the processed output. The added noise is adaptively shaped by default and can alternatively be fixed noise shaped or white noise depending on command line parameters. When lossyWAV processed output is compressed with certain lossless codecs (FLAC, Wavpack, Tak, LPAC, MPEG-4 ALS and WMA-Lossless) the bitrate of the output file is significantly* reduced compared to the lossless original.
Changes from 1.3.0b:- Code converted from Delphi to C++; Huge thanks to Tycho for kicking off the transcode;
- WAVE64 and RF64 compatibility introduced for large audio files;
- &q ...

Site reorganisation / move

Site reorganisation / move
| Posted By:

Hi all,
I will be reorganizing HA and related sites such as the wiki soon. Expect some temporary outages during that time. We will likely also move the main site address from hydrogenaudio.org to hydrogenaud.io (done!). I'll post a note when the move is over.
This should make it a bit easier to update parts of the site separately from each other. ...
